Adult supports a child using a crayon during a fine motor development activity

Service

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy addresses the functional skills needed for everyday participation, identifying and working through what's getting in the way of a child managing daily tasks with confidence. It often runs alongside speech pathology, since the two areas overlap more than most families expect.

We support

  • Fine and gross motor skills
  • Handwriting and pencil grip
  • Self-care and daily living skills (dressing, eating and other everyday tasks)
  • Emotional regulation (managing and expressing big feelings)
  • Sensory processing (how a child responds to sounds, textures and movement)
  • Independence for teenagers and young adults
