About Us

About Us
Talk & Grow was set up to bring therapy out of the clinic and into everyday life. Our clinicians are university qualified, Certified Practising, and committed to an evidence-based approach: the assessments and therapy methods we use are backed by current research, and we explain our reasoning at every step.
We're deliberately small. You work with the same clinician session after session, and when you call, you reach someone who knows your child's file.
Evidence-based. We use assessments and approaches with a solid clinical evidence base, and we explain our reasoning.
Strengths-based. Progress is built on what a child can already do, because confidence comes from genuine success, and children stay motivated when they can see their own progress.
Client- and family-centred. You know your child best. We keep you informed and equipped with strategies that work at home.
Neurodiversity-affirming. We support communication and participation without treating difference as something to be corrected.
Trauma-informed. Sessions are built on safety, trust, predictability and the pace of the person in front of us.
Collaborative. We're glad to liaise with other therapists involved in your child's care, so everyone is working toward the same goals.
In session
Sessions are built around activities, not worksheets: picture cards, games, books and everyday routines, matched to each child's interests and stage. Families are part of the session, so the strategies carry on at home between visits.
Who We Work With
Communication and daily living skills matter at every age. What changes is the goal, the setting and how a session is run.
