Funding & How It Works

Straightforward funding, straightforward process

Three funding routes, one clear process. Whichever applies to you, you receive an itemised invoice after every session.

Funding & How It Works

Straightforward funding, straightforward process

NDIS

We work with plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants. You receive an itemised invoice after every session.

(We are not an NDIS-registered provider, so this covers plan-managed and self-managed funding only, not NDIA-managed.)

Private paying

No referral, no eligibility process, no waiting on plan approvals. You receive an itemised invoice after every session.

Medicare rebate

Available with a current GP referral and Chronic Disease Management Plan (a Medicare-funded referral pathway). We'll talk you through this if it applies to you.

Note: We also accept private health insurance, ask us for details.

Assessment and therapy, step by step

From first call to regular review, this is the path every client follows.

  1. 1

    Get in touch

Call, message on WhatsApp, email or send the referral form. No referral is needed.

  2. 2

    Free phone consultation

We talk through your concerns, answer questions and confirm we're the right fit.

  3. 3

    Assessment

An evidence-based assessment gives a clear picture of current strengths and needs.

  4. 4

    Therapy

Regular sessions at home, school, childcare or by telehealth, tailored to your child's interests and learning style, working to agreed goals.

  5. 5

    Review and adjust

Progress is reviewed regularly with written updates, and goals are adjusted as needed. Then back to therapy.

Is there a wait list?

No. We're accepting new clients now, so there's no waiting period. Once you get in touch we call you back within one business day, and the first assessment is usually booked within a week or two, depending on where you are and the days that suit you. If you've been on another practice's wait list, you're welcome to start with us in the meantime.

What ages do you work with?

Children from their first words through to teenagers and young adults. The goals and the way a session runs are matched to age and stage: play-based early intervention for toddlers, school-linked goals for primary and high school students, and practical, respectful sessions for older teens and young adults working on study, work, interviews or independence.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can contact us directly and start straight away, whether you're funded through NDIS, privately, or another way. If a GP, paediatrician, teacher or another therapist has recommended speech pathology, that's helpful context for the first session, but it's not a requirement. The one exception is Medicare rebates, which need a GP referral and Chronic Disease Management Plan (a Medicare-funded referral pathway), and we can talk you through that if it applies to you.

Where do sessions happen?

Wherever the skills are actually needed. Most sessions happen at home, and we also visit schools and childcare centres, plus workplaces for young adults, across Sydney. Telehealth is available anywhere in Australia, with the same clinician and the same goals, and works well for busy families, regional clients and many teenagers. You never have to fit a clinic appointment into your day.

What funding do you accept?

We work with NDIS (plan-managed and self-managed), Medicare (with a current GP referral and Chronic Disease Management Plan), private health insurance and private paying clients. Whichever applies to you, you'll receive an itemised invoice after every session, and we're happy to talk through the options before you commit to anything.

What are your trading hours?

Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 7pm. Early and late slots exist so sessions can fit around school, work and childcare. Calls, WhatsApp messages and form enquiries received outside these hours are answered the next business day.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is an assessment. We start with a conversation about what you've noticed and what you'd like to change, then use evidence-based assessment tools matched to your child's age to get a clear picture of current strengths and needs. You'll receive a plain-language summary of what we found and a set of goals we agree on together. Therapy sessions follow from there, usually weekly or fortnightly.
